About the Role
As a Family Day Care Coordinator / Playgroup Facilitator, you will support and mentor educators across the Tweed Heads region to deliver high-quality education and care in line with regulatory and quality frameworks. This role involves regular visits to educator residences, providing mentoring, compliance support, and professional guidance to ensure best practice and positive outcomes for children. You will facilitate playgroups at our Tweed Heads office and support educators to participate in networking opportunities and community excursions that enhance professional connections, learning experiences, and community engagement. The role also requires transporting educators to and from playgroups and other approved activities as required.
Position Details:
- Full-Time Monday to Friday
- Standard Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Based in Tweed Heads with travel throughout the local region
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and support Family Day Care Educators to meet compliance and quality standards
- Monitor and promote adherence to Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- Support implementation of organisational policies and procedures
- Foster high-quality educational environments aligned with EYLF and NQF and the National Child Safe Standards
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new educators
- Support family placement and service delivery processes
- Develop risk management plans and support safe educator practices
- Conduct playgroups and accompany educators on excursions when required
- Complete administrative and reporting requirements accurately and efficiently
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Diploma in Children’s Services (minimum)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a qualified early childhood role
- Strong knowledge of Family Day Care Regulations, EYLF, and NQF
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence to provide compliance guidance and constructive feedback
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Passion for supporting educators and improving outcomes for children
- Completed the National child safety training
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Current Senior First Aid / CPR Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Reliable motor vehicle
