About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven and highly connected Business Development Manager to accelerate growth for CRE Group across Queensland.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be the face of CRE Group in the Queensland market, building relationships with key decision-makers, identifying high-value opportunities, and converting them into long-term commercial partnerships. You will position CRE Group as the preferred civil construction partner across our target sectors and play a critical role in shaping the company's growth trajectory in the state.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and margin growth across Queensland in target civil construction markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, key clients, and industry stakeholders
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and client presentations tailored to project and sector requirements
- Maintain a solid sales pipeline, market intelligence reporting, and account activity tracking
- Collaborate closely with operations and project delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met
- Represent CRE Group at industry events, networking functions, and client engagement activities
About You
You are commercially astute and results-focused, with a genuine passion for building relationships in the civil construction industry. You understand how projects are won and what clients value — and you know how to position a contractor to be part of the conversation.
You will bring:
- Proven business development or sales experience within civil construction, earthworks, pipeline, remediation, or related sectors
- A minimum of 3-5 years business development or sales experience within civil construction, earthworks, pipeline, remediation, or related sectors
- A strong Queensland industry network and established relationships with key decision-makers
- An extensive Queensland industry network with established relationships across key decision-makers and industry stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close high-value commercial opportunities
- Proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing commercial opportunities
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and a results-driven mindset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a clear focus on performance and growth
