The Prospect

Our client, a leading specialist surgical practice, is seeking an experienced, professional and highly organised Specialist PA/Surgery Coordinator to join their growing team. This is a pivotal role, integral to patient care and business operations.

As the Specialist PA/Surgery Coordinator, you will play a key function in managing patient journeys from initial enquiry through to surgery booking and post-consultation follow-up. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Directors, Clinical and Practice Managers in a well-supported, small team environment to optimise patient experience, practice efficiency and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Patient enquiries management and patient engagement to effect surgical consultations
- Efficient appointment scheduling using Genie software
- Optimisation of practice operations through surgeon and practice diary management
- Preparation and provision of accurate surgical quotations and surgery booking documentation
- Focus on practice revenue & payments, consistent with business terms and processes
- Accurate surgical billing, including HICAPS and Eclipse processing
- High level medical administration with attention to detail




- Practice presentation commensurate with high-end specialist surgical practice

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a specialist surgical practice, strong patient relationship and customer service skills, excellent verbal, digital and written communication abilities and:

- Excellent personal grooming
- Ability to manage telephone and email enquiries
- Experience with medical practice management software (Genie experience essential)
- Knowledge of Medicare, private surgical billing, HICAPS and Eclipse (essential)
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- A professional, empathetic and proactive approach with personal drive
- Confidence discussing treatment plans, quotations and booking processes with patients in a front-facing patient liaison role
- Self-motivated ability to work independently, whilst functioning in a collegiate manner within a small team environment

The Offer

Join this specialist surgical practice in a full-time (or 9 days per fortnight) capacity, with an attractive remuneration package of $80k-$100k plus super (pro-rated for part-time) plus a bonus after a qualifying period.
