About the role
We are seeking a capable Storeperson to join our logistics team at Absorb Environmental Solutions' warehouse facility in Wacol, Queensland. This full-time role is essential in maintaining the efficient and organised functioning of our busy distribution centre. As the Storeperson, you will play a crucial part in our organisation's ability to deliver high-quality products and services to our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
- Receiving, unpacking and inspecting incoming stock deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality
- Accurately picking, packing and dispatching customer orders using a range of materials handling equipment
- Maintaining the warehouse in a clean, safe and organised condition
- Assisting with inventory control and cycle counting procedures
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of warehouse operations and systems
- Manual handling of stock including unpacking containers
- Using online systems to generate consignment notes and book freight for collection
- Using our ERP system to process sales orders, produce dispatch labels and warehouse transfers
- Fulfill the duties of the Warehouse Manager when absent
What we're looking for
- A Storeperson with experience in a similar role in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
- Proficiency in the use of materials handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and trolleys
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
- A keen eye for problem-solving and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- A current forklift licence and manual drivers' licence is essential
- Proficiency in uses computer software ERP systems and freight booking systems
