Overview

As a Road Logistics Customer Care Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you’ll be the guardian of that promise.
This role is about more than processing bookings or handling documents. It’s about anticipating customer needs, solving problems before they arise, and ensuring every road shipment tells a story of trust and reliability. You’ll be the link between customers, sales teams, and our Operational Care Centers, making sure every detail is captured and every journey runs smoothly.
Requirements
- Be the customer’s voice: Proactively advise, consult, and update customers, ensuring they feel supported at every step.
- Turn details into action: Transfer customer requirements into KN systems so our Operational Care Centers can deliver flawlessly.
- Solve challenges early: Monitor shipments, field complaint calls, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues before they escalate.
- Shape the journey: Provide quotations, process bookings, and create accurate documentation to keep shipments moving.
- Coordinate the flow: Liaise with carriers, authorities,
and transport suppliers to secure space, inspections, and compliance.
- Keep operations precise: Oversee warehouse instructions, customs entries, cargo release, and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Close the loop: Manage claims, refine reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Commercial Acumen – Ability to balance customer satisfaction and profitability, prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and identify opportunities for up‑selling or cross‑selling.
- Industry Expertise – Solid knowledge of freight forwarding processes and regulations, with hands‑on experience in road logistics.
- Operational Precision – Strong attention to detail in bookings, documentation, cargo release, and claims management.
- Communication & Collaboration – Clear, professional communication skills to proactively advise customers, resolve issues, and foster alignment across teams, partners, and stakeholders.
- Adaptability & Resilience – Confidence in handling fast‑paced, time‑critical shipments.
