We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our team in a part-time role, 4 days per week (.8).
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll, helping to keep our financial operations running smoothly and accurately.
This is a great opportunity for someone with solid bookkeeping and payroll experience who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment.
What You'll Do
Accounts
• Process and maintain accurate accounts payable
• Reconcile accounts on a scheduled basis
• Process accounts receivable payments in the Property Management System
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
• Complete weekly and monthly data updates and financial reports
Payroll & HR Administration
• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time using the Timekeeping & Payroll system
• Prepare weekly revenue and wages reports
• Support department heads in maintaining employee onboarding records and HR documentation
• Support department heads with Award interpretation and compliance queries
General
• Maintain and update finance checklists and schedules
• Assist with internal audits and implement corrective actions as required
• Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety requirements
What We're Looking For
• Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or equivalent experience)
• Valid Police Clearance
• Experience with MYOB or a similar accounting platform
• Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems and/or POS software is an advantage
• Working knowledge of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020 and Fair Work Act 2009 is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Positive time management and the ability to meet deadlines
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills — Word, Excel and Outlook
