Part-time Accountant role with a global business, supporting local Australian operations.

This is a part-time opportunity for an experienced Accountant or Finance Officer to join the Australian arm of a global business.

The Opportunity

The role will suit someone who enjoys broad, hands-on finance work and wants a part-time position without stepping away from meaningful responsibility. You will be the key finance contact locally, working with the Australian team while maintaining regular contact with an established finance team overseas.

This is not a narrow processing role. The business needs someone accurate, organised and confident who will keep finance processes moving, support clean reporting and help maintain structure across local finance activity.

About the Role

Working with local leadership and the overseas finance team, you will support the day-to-day finance function across the Australian business.

The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, supplier and customer account management, month-end support, BAS preparation support, reporting and finance administration.

You will also support revenue and forecasting activity by keeping data accurate, updating reports and providing timely finance information.

This is a hands-on role in a local team, so it will suit someone who is happy to work across the detail while communicating confidently with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable and supplier account administration
- Manage accounts receivable
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Process expenses and maintain accurate financial records
- Provide payroll support for a small salaried workforce
- Manage invoice approvals and related finance administration




- Assist with month-end processes and BAS preparation
- Support reporting requirements for the overseas finance team
- Maintain finance documentation, processes and filing systems
- Support local operational staff with finance queries
- Assist in improving structure and process across finance

About You

You will be an experienced Accountant who is confident working across a broad finance function. You may be seeking a part-time role for lifestyle, study, family or flexibility reasons, while still wanting work with ownership, variety and accountability.

You will likely bring:

- 5+yrs experience in accounting, finance officer, assistant accounting or senior bookkeeping roles
- Strong AP, AR, reconciliation and month-end support experience
- Exposure to reporting, cashflow, budgeting or forecasting support
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
- Intermediate to strong Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong process discipline and follow-through
- Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Confidence working autonomously
- A practical, persistent and solutions-focused working style

- Part-time role, 3 days per week
- $115k to $130k plus super, pro rata
- Australian head office in the Wacol area
- Office-based role
