About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced HR skilled who wants true ownership—someone who can step in, take control of the HR function, and elevate how we hire, manage and develop our people.
You’ll operate as the go-to HR leader in the business, working closely with Management to build structure, improve performance, and support growth. The role is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring they are applied consistently and remain aligned with legislative requirements and organisational objectives. Working collaboratively across the business, the HR Advisor supports the delivery of a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.
The role is part time, 24 hours per week with flexibility across the days and hours.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll take full responsibility for the HR function across both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, including:
- End-to-end employee lifecycle – From recruitment through to exit
- HR documentation- Prepare employment contracts, performance reviews and all HR related documentation
- Performance & accountability frameworks – Coordinate probation tracking, annual performance /salary reviews and staff development plans
- Compliance & governance – Safeguard the business by proactively managing Australian Employment Law and WHS requirements. Monitor and maintain staff requirements to ensure ongoing compliance with ASQA Standards and regulatory obligations of a Registered Training Organisation
- Company policies - Lead the development, review and continuous improvement of all company policies
- Payroll support – Partner with the Finance Officer to ensure smooth weekly processing
- Leadership support – Advise and support Managers with employee relations including performance, behaviour and team dynamics to foster a positive and inclusive culture
- HR projects – Lead initiatives that improve structure, engagement and scalability
About You

- Confident working independently and influencing leadership
- Strong in communication and able to work across different teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Commercially aware—you understand how HR impacts business performance
Experience & Skills Required
- 5+ years’ experience in a stand alone HR advisory role
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and compliance
- Experience working in a Registered Training Organisation would be an advantage
- Experience working with Employment Hero would be an advantage
