We are looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Civihire Pty Ltd in Mount Gambier, SA. As a full-time Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are kept in excellent working condition. This is a hands-on, wide-ranging role that will see you working on a diverse range of machinery and vehicles.
What you'll be doing
1. Diagnosing and repairing faults on heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
2. Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance tasks
3. Completing detailed repair and maintenance records
4. Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations
5. Washing and cleaning of machinery and equipment
6. Identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to the development of maintenance processes
7. Off-hire and Pre-hire Inspections
What we're looking for
1. Relevant trade qualifications and experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
2. Demonstrated expertise in the diagnosis, repair and servicing of heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
3. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
4.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
5. A commitment to workplace health and safety
6. A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well in a team
7. Willingness to travel and stay up to 1000km radius from Mt Gambier for short periods if required
8. HR or HC licence desirable but not essential - Civihire willing to upgrade for the right team member
9. Welding & Auto Electrical experience would be greatly appreciated
