The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games present a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of the Toowoomba Region.
Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking an exceptional strategic leader to drive the development and delivery of initiatives that will create meaningful, long‑term economic and region‑building outcomes.
As the Program Lead Impact and Legacy, you will lead strategic advocacy, partnerships, relationships, and cross‑organisational coordination to ensure the Toowoomba Region is positioned to maximise the opportunities arising from Brisbane 2032 – creating a legacy that will benefit generations to come.

About the Position

- 3‑year fixed term full‑time opportunity based in the Toowoomba CBD

How to Be Successful in This Position
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Economic Development or a related discipline
- Substantial management‑level experience
- Demonstrated strategic leadership across complex environments
- Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and advocacy capability
- Expertise in strategic planning, governance and communication
- Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience delivering strategic projects and advocacy programmes across government, industry and community sectors
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A strong commitment to Honesty, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork, Safety and Wellbeing
Post‑graduate qualifications in Project Management, Local Government, Business or Leadership will be highly regarded.
