Exciting New HFC Technician Opportunities now available throughout Melbourne!!!

Your new company Due to rapid market growth as well as recently acquired NBN Projects, one of Melbourne's leading electrical contractors now requires several new team members to assist with the instillation and delivery of NBN services in a HFC Capacity.

Your new role
Working across residential and commercial sites you will be carrying out NBN projects; underground works, running / fitting off both copper and fibre (FTTN & FTTP) as well as carrying out exchange/mains jointing. You will get the opportunity to learn and work across all areas of the NBN roll-out. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:








- Copper testing from the pillar to customer premise
- Carry out survey and ability to amend existing plans if required.
- SDU installations
- MIMA rod and ropping
- Civil lead ins - including underground boring on residential properties, trenching and clearing blockage
- MDU Backbone Cabling and Hauling (CX50 and 75)
- Home Run/Lateral Cabling (RG6/11)
- Installation of HFC Passive and active Devices (Taps, Splitters, Isolators, Enclosures)
- Terminate Passive and Active Equipment
- Installation of ICD / PCD
- Testing and Commissioning of HFC infrastructure
- Maintain coaxial cable segregation to industry standards


What you'll need to succeed
In terms of experience, you will have carried out work across at least some of the above NBN works. You will have carried out and be competent with running and fitting fibre, proven history with exchange and mains jointing. You will require a white card, ACMA cabler's valid drivers license, reliable transport and your own tools a must. NBN (Enable) or any further relevant NBN qualifications.
