About the opportunity

We are currently looking for vibrant and energetic leaders who are interested in an opportunity as Supervisor for Food & Patient Support Services across the Greater Newcastle Area (based at John Hunter Hospital - New Lambton Heights).

In this important role, you will supervise day-to-day operational activities in the hospitals across the Greater Newcastle Area and manage the provision of optimal Food and Patient Support Services to HealthShare NSW customers, providing effective leadership and direction for your teams. We are looking for experienced leaders from any industry, who are strong communicators and passionate about delivering quality customer service, with a well-presented demeanour, adaptability to changing demands, and flexibility and readiness to travel across locations, establishing successful relationships with facility Health Service Managers and meeting evolving service needs in an agile environment.

Responsibilities





- Supervise day-to-day operational activities across hospitals in the Greater Newcastle Area.
- Manage the provision of optimal Food and Patient Support Services to HealthShare NSW customers.
- Provide effective leadership and direction for your teams.
- Establish successful relationships with facility Health Service Managers.
- Meet evolving service needs in an agile environment.

Qualifications

- Experience as a leader in any industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and travel across locations.
- Knowledge of computer systems such as Windows programs, including Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, with well‑developed people management skills and flexibility to adapt to a changing role following organisational changes.
- Must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa).
