**HEO4 $73,961 - $81,067 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.**

** Fixed term part-time position for 2 years (0.5 FTE)**

** Working under routine supervision, the Research Officer will be responsible for providing assistance in the collection and measurement of research data from sites across South Australia, collating the data and providing written progress reports on the project.**

Based at the Roseworthy campus, the Research Officer will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain equipment and monitor the wellbeing of livestock animals, assist with planting and maintenance of shrub plantings and pastures to enable the project to be successfully delivered on time.

This role will provide hands-on research and technical support for farm trials focussed on improving climate and drought resilience, ensuring the accurate collection of samples, measurements, and data from both livestock and plant species. The Research Officer will maintain detailed and secure records while contributing to the preparation of reports and milestone documentation and will assist with the planting and management of pastures and shrubs, ensuring all equipment and devices function effectively throughout each project. The Research Officer will support animal welfare by monitoring and maintaining high standards of care.

** To be successful you will need**:

- Demonstrated experience conducting research trials, including sample collection, data analysis, and accurate data reporting.
- Strong background in agronomy, horticulture, and working with livestock animals.




- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
- Highly self-motivated with solid time management and organisational skills.
