About The Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Dual Diagnosis Clinician to deliver specialist assessment, treatment and referral services for people with co‑occurring AOD and mental health concerns. Working within a recovery‑oriented framework, you will hold a small caseload while also contributing to the capability, wellbeing and development of the broader AOD Services team.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this role provides day‑to‑day guidance and support to two direct reports, helping to foster a positive team culture and ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Based on The Central Coast and will work at multiple locations at Morisset and Berkeley Vale depending on service need, this full‑time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people experiencing co‑occurring AOD and mental health challenges. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Level 5.

How You Will Make An Impact

- Deliver high‑quality assessments, interventions, education, referrals and case work within a person‑led, recovery‑oriented framework.
- Provide specialist dual‑diagnosis expertise and facilitate therapeutic groups and brief interventions using a holistic, harm‑minimisation approach.
- Develop and monitor treatment plans,



maintaining accurate documentation, reports and data, while managing client and program risk in line with TSA policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and provide reports to the Program Manager as required.
- Build strong referral knowledge, collaborate effectively with internal and external services, and participate in sector training and events.
- Foster a positive team culture, supporting capability through coaching, training and guidance, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Assist with recruitment, address performance issues with the Service Manager, and review service data and feedback to drive quality improvement

What You Will Bring You will bring a compassionate, participant‑centred approach and strong clinical capability in dual‑diagnosis work. You are confident in unpredictable situations, skilled in de‑escalation and committed to culturally safe practice.

- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing or related discipline.
- Completion of the 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willingness to complete during employment).
- Demonstrated experience supporting people with AOD, gambling and mental health concerns.
- Strong knowledge of mental health, AOD, community and health sectors.
- Experience conducting AOD and mental health assessments and screening.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
- Experience collaborating with external organisations and services.




- Current driver’s licence.
