**About South Burnett CTC Inc**:
South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to supporting disadvantaged individuals across various demographics. Our services encompass Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth & Family Services, Domestic and Family Violence Services, Disability Services, and Gumnut Place Social Enterprise. We operate across the South Burnett area, with teams based in Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango, and Murgon.

Our Domestic and Family Violence Service focuses on individuals affected by domestic and family violence, particularly in Cherbourg. We prioritise the safety and well-being of clients through a collaborative, client-centred approach that empowers individuals to achieve their safety and support goals.

** Position Overview**:
The DFV Positive Relationships Mentor supports young people connected to Cherbourg who have been impacted by domestic and family violence. This role focuses on helping participants identify, build,



and maintain strong, healthy, and positive relationships.
- A minimum 3-year degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with individuals in high-risk domestic violence situations.
- Proficient engagement skills with hard-to-reach young people.
- Strong understanding of risk indicators and personal safety protocols.
- Knowledge of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 and Child Protection Act 1999.
- Case notes compilation, safety plans, risk assessments and support plans experience.
- Experience in addressing complex issues such as substance misuse and mental health challenges.
- Ability to develop and deliver culturally appropriate programs.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Queensland Driver's Licence
- First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Working with Children Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check

** Salary & Benefits**:
This position offers a salary of $44.58 per hour, in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Level 4), plus salary packaging options. The role requires a commitment to continuous professional development and participation in team initiatives.
