Join Western Sydney Local Health District at the Granville Assertive Response Team (GART) hub — a dedicated, commuter-friendly site supporting Auburn, Blacktown and the wider Greater Western Sydney region. Located in the heart of Granville, our office is just a short walk from the train station with free street parking available.
Working within a respectful, collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver innovative, person-centred mental health services to a culturally diverse community.

What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Clinician (Registered Nurse), you will provide intensive, evidence-based outreach to people living with severe and persistent mental illness. Working within a collaborative Recovery Model framework, you will empower consumers to achieve optimal independence and wellbeing while maintaining community living.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and physical health assessments
- Develop and implement individualised, recovery-oriented care plans
- Deliver assertive outreach interventions and regular case reviews
- Advocate for consumers and partner with carers, GPs, NGOs and community agencies
- Contribute to clinical governance, documentation, peer review and service development
This role requires strong clinical judgement, effective workload prioritisation and the ability to build trusting, adaptable partnerships with consumers and families in complex circumstances.

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse
Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
- Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.
- Current NSW Driver’s License.
