What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide evidence‑based intensive outreach services that support consumers with severe and persistent mental illness to achieve meaningful recovery outcomes.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

- Provide comprehensive assessments and ongoing community‑based treatment and support

- Develop and review collaborative, recovery‑oriented care plans with consumers and carers

- Build strong partnerships with GPs, NGOs, community services and internal teams

- Advocate for consumers’ rights, safety and access to appropriate services

- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development and clinical reviews





Granville Assertive Response Team is seeking to employ Mental Health Clinicians with mental health experience to join the cutting-edge and energetic team providing Assertive Case Management to people with a severe and persistent mental illness in our culturally diverse community. This role will be required to provide clinical interventions as a Mental Health Clinician, a member of multidisciplinary mental health team within the framework of a collaborative Recovery Model. A primary goal of this position is to work collaboratively with staff, consumers and other agencies (both within WSLHD and non-government organisations) to promote the effective participation in mental health treatment and recovery. Hours of Work are Monday to Friday – 830 am to 500pm with definite possibilities of Team working Monday to Sunday in near future.

Essential Criteria

- Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.

- Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist OR for Social Workers, eligibility to be a member of the AASW.

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.





- Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.

- Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.

- Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.

- Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.

- Current NSW Driver’s License.
