About the role...

Novotel Surfers Paradise is seeking an experienced Assistant Night Manager to join our agile team. As the Assistant Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight shift, contributing to the overall guest experience and the achievement of our business objectives. This is a full-time position based in our hotel located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

- Manage the hotel operations during the overnight shift, overseeing the team and responding to guest inquiries and requests

- Assist with the check-in and check-out process, ensuring efficient and personalised service

- Monitor and maintain hotel security, including securing the building and managing any incident or emergency situations

- Provide support to the Night Manager,



including reporting on daily activities and issues

- Assist with administrative tasks such as cash handling, data entry and record-keeping

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of hotel operations and guest satisfaction

What we're looking for

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment

- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle guest inquiries and requests effectively

- Proficient in using hotel management software and systems, Opera Cloud desirable

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work efficiently during the overnight shift

- Proven track record of maintaining high standards of security and safety

- Must hold Australian Work Rights
