Permanent Full Time opportunity FIFO 8:6 from Perth Gold commodity is offering a stable future Vault Minerals is looking for an experienced Underground Geologist to join our Mount Monger Operations Vault Minerals is a dynamic and cohesive company born from the recent merger of Red 5 Limited and Silverlake Resources, uniting our shared vision for the future. The Mount Monger Operation (MMO) is an expansive tenement package located 50km southeast of Kalgoorlie. Spanning multiple gold mineralisation styles, this energetic operation currently includes the Daisy Milano Underground Mine, the Santa and Flora Dora Open pit mines and the Randalls Gold Processing Facility. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, the Mine Geologist -Underground position will be based at Daisy Milano Underground Mine. You will have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in the industry through exposure to mineralisation and contribution to the operation through the ore control function with the Mining Department to maximise the profitable extraction of mineral resources. You will learn industry best practice while understanding how to operate in a safe, sustainable and efficient manner. This role is being offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth Key responsibilities of this role will include: Map, mark-up and sample ore headings, providing clear directions to jumbo operators, airleg miners and haulage personnel. Monitor and manage stockpile control, haulage and grade tracking to optimise production and maintain quality mill feed. Conduct routine stockpile checks underground and manage material movement on Mine Ore Pad. Undertake comprehensive geological,
structural and geotechnical mapping of all underground workings. Identify and report on any geotechnical hazards that may impact safety and mining. Ensure adequate sample assignment and QAQC insertion to represent geological and mineralisation intervals. Digital input and validation of all information in the geological database. Monitor laboratory QA/QC performance and address issues in a timely manner. Laboratory invoicing review, approval and tracking. Assist with management of diamond drilling contractor, PLOD validation and capture. Core logging to be completed to industry and company standards. Identify ways to improve and optimise geological standards, practices and procedures. Complete EOM stocktake and assist with EOM reconciliation reporting as required. About You Degree in Geology or a related discipline. Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class). Developing an understanding of the statutory requirements of the Western Australian Mining Act and Regulations, as well as the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act. Demonstrates outstanding attention to detail and possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite. Work experience within the Mining industry, ideally within Gold Mining, will be highly regarded.
