TCNAI is looking for a motivated and energetic Canteen Supervisor to take the lead in our busy Tuesday & Wednesday night canteen operations.
This is more than just serving food — we are looking for someone who can help create a canteen experience that supports our netball families, feeds hungry players and spectators, and helps drive canteen sales through fresh ideas, quality food and great service.
Our canteen is a huge part of our community environment, and we want someone who takes pride in creating a space people actually want to visit each week.
About the Role
This casual role will initially operate Tuesday & Wednesday evenings during competition season, with the opportunity for additional hours during carnivals and major events throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and plan weekly competition night canteen menu
- Prepare and serve quality food in a rapid-paced sporting environment
- Help increase canteen sales through menu ideas, presentation and customer service
- Order and restock supplies
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- Work alongside and support junior staff and volunteers
- Assist in creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere for our netball community
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in food preparation, hospitality or canteen operations
- Is organised and can work independently
- Enjoys working with people and within a community environment
- Has initiative and can bring fresh ideas to improve canteen offerings
- Can handle busy service periods with a positive attitude
- Understands the importance of customer service and presentation
Requirements
- Food Handling Certificate (essential)
- Current Blue Card (essential)
- Available Tuesdays & Wednesdays from approximately 3pm – 9pm
- Reliable and self-motivated
Position Details
- Casual position
- Approximately 12 hours per week initially
- School holidays off
- Opportunity for additional event and carnival work throughout the year
