Plumbing Project Manager
Location - Melbourne or Geelong
Salary - $170,000 + Super + Car Allowance
Not every plumbing business gets to work on such a range of major projects, from hospitals to stadiums .. this contractor does and it has been doing so for over 30 years.
We're representing one of Australia's most respected commercial plumbing contractors - a business that started from nothing and today employs more than 400 staff and subcontractors operating across Australasia. Their portfolio reads like a who's who of landmark construction: major hospitals, award-winning aged care facilities, iconic entertainment venues, prestige resorts and high-profile commercial towers. These are the kinds of projects that matter, and the kind of company that gives a Project Manager both the resources and the autonomy to deliver them properly.
If you've been delivering commercial plumbing projects and wondering whether there's somewhere better to do it - there is.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Work on landmark commercial projects across health, education, hospitality, retail and infrastructure
- Join a company that has been building its processes, structure and reputation since the early 90’s
- Be part of a 400+ person business with responsible project capability, in-house design and national reach
- A culture shaped by the founders and employees who have plumbing in their veins and care deeply about how work gets done
- ISO 9001 & 45001 accredited - a business that takes quality and safety seriously, not just on paper
- Melbourne or Geelong location considered - flexibility for the right person
About the Role
As Plumbing Project Manager you'll take full ownership of commercial plumbing projects from award through to completion. You'll be the central point of coordination between clients, site teams, subbies and suppliers - keeping programmes on track, costs in line and quality where it needs to be.
- Full lifecycle project management across complex commercial builds
- Programme, budget and cost management
- Client, builder and stakeholder liaison
- Leading and mentoring site-based teams
- Working alongside an experienced in-house design and construction team
- Ensuring compliance with WHS obligations and the company's accredited quality systems
What We're Looking For
We're open on the level - whether you're an experienced PM ready to take on a bigger slate of projects, or a riser leader looking for a business that matches your ambition. What matters most is that you know commercial plumbing inside out and can run a job properly.
- Proven background in commercial plumbing project management
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to defects
- Ability to manage programmes, budgets and subcontractor relationships simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills - with clients, builders and your own team
- A genuine interest in doing the job properly, not just getting it done
