Job details

We’re looking for a Learning Skills Advisor to join our team, where you’ll use your expertise in language, literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy (LLND) to help students build confidence, strengthen their learning skills, and achieve their study goals. Reporting to the Learning Skills Lead, you will deliver tailored LLND support through one-on-one sessions, small group work, and provide in class assistance, collaborating with teachers to design and deliver contextualised learning strategies. You will also have the opportunity to run drop-in sessions and workshops across various courses and learning levels and contribute to continuous improvement.

As the successful candidate you will have:

- A relevant education qualification (ie. Bachelor, Diploma of Cert IV TAE).




- Relevant experience in an education setting and teaching academic/learning skills. This may include supporting students with more than one language.
- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
- Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:

- A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
- A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
- A current Driver’s Licence (Car).

The salary for this position is PACCT 5 under the GOTAFE Enterprise PACCT Agreement 2025.
