We are currently seeking a Safety Advisor to lead safety initiatives across our branches nationally, which includes working with management, employees and subcontractor teams. This role is quite autonomous, diverse and hands on, spending approximately 70% of your time on worksites, so regular travel is required within Victoria and interstate. The position is based at our head office in Port Melbourne and reports to the National HSE Manager.

KEY DELIVERABLES

- Identify HSE risk issues and work with management and the broader HSE team to develop and implement effective controls and procedures.
- Improve HSE systems, processes and programs on a national basis.
- Regular travel to project sites and interstate to conduct audits and inspections
- Attend meetings with sales and operational staff to ensure HSE is incorporated into decision making at the planning stage of projects.
- Participate in incident investigations to ensure root causes are identified,



effective corrective actions are developed, implemented and the information is shared.
- Assist with audits for ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 certification
- Conduct training on safety related topics to management and trades staff

ABOUT YOU

- We are seeking an individual with practical, front line operational HSE experience in a mid-large organisation, preferably with experience in a trades, manufacturing or construction focused industries. Ideally you will have:
- Certificate IV in WHS or Diploma of Safety
- Internal Auditor IMS qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Connect with teams on site to form proactive safety management progression.
- Develop SWMSs and Safety Management Plans.
- Analyse safety data to implement improvement initiatives
- Manage, maintain and update Safety Management software programs.
