About the Client

Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Darra, Brisbane, specialising in Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) products. Operating a fast-paced manufacturing facility, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team in a hands-on role focused on keeping production equipment running efficiently and reducing downtime across the plant.

This role will suit someone with robust preventative maintenance experience who enjoys fault finding, working on older machinery, and taking ownership of equipment performance.

What’s on Offer

- $46 – $52 per hour + overtime opportunities
- Monday to Friday – 6:00am to 2:00pm

The Role





- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Working on conveyors, moulding machines, and production machinery
- Mechanical repairs and servicing across the plant
- Basic fabrication, welding, and repair work as required
- Occasional use of workshop machinery including lathe and mill
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime and improve reliability

What We’re Looking For

- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner
- Strong preventative maintenance experience
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
- Manufacturing or industrial maintenance background
- Hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently
- Basic welding or fabrication experience highly regarded
