The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading Australian Electrical Engineering business who are seeking Technical Sales Engineers to support continued growth across manufacturing and industrial sectors, with a strong focus on switchboards, motor control and electrical infrastructure projects.
This role is ideal for a Project Manager / Engineer, Switchboard Designer, Estimator or experienced electrical industry professional who enjoys working directly with customers to develop practical engineering solutions and win project-based work.
You will work closely with internal engineering and project teams to deliver switchboard solutions, MCC upgrades, industrial electrical infrastructure projects and plant electrical upgrades for major manufacturing and industrial clients.
If you enjoy solution selling, technical consulting and building long-term client relationships, this role offers the opportunity to move into a commercially focused engineering position with strong earning potential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Engage with manufacturing and industrial clients to identify switchboard and electrical project opportunities
- Develop solution-based proposals for switchboards, MCCs and industrial electrical upgrades
- Prepare technical scopes, quotations and project proposals
- Conduct site visits to scope, plan and coordinate cutovers
- Work closely with internal engineering and project delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes
- Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to delivery
Typical Projects
- Switchboard and distribution board upgrades and replacements
- Industrial electrical infrastructure upgrades
- Power distribution and control panel projects
- Plant electrical upgrades and shutdown works
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation across switchboard builds and chageovers who enjoys working directly with customers.
Ideal backgrounds include:
- Electrical Engineer, Industrial Electrician or Switchboard industry professional
- Experience with switchboard manufacturing, electrical infrastructure projects or plant upgrades
- Ability to develop solution-based proposals and technical scopes
- Experience selling or delivering project-based electrical solutions is highly regarded
Candidates currently working in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Switchboard Design/Estimation, Industrial Electrical contracting who want to transition into a client-facing commercial role are strongly encouraged to apply.
