About the Role

This is a chance to make a genuine difference in classrooms, communities, and across the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. As a casual teacher at The Gordon, you’ll share your industry expertise while guiding students as they build the skills, confidence and capability to thrive in a high-demand profession. You’ll deliver engaging, practical training across Certificate III and/or Diploma programs, connecting learning to real-world practice and supporting students at every stage of their journey.

You’ll join a passionate teaching community who value collaboration, creativity and student success, while enjoying the flexibility of casual work.

Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare, deliver and assess Certificate III and/or Diploma ECEC programs
- Apply a range of contemporary teaching and assessment approaches
- Create inclusive learning experiences for students from diverse backgrounds
- Support students through practical, workplace-relevant learning
- Contribute to course advice, enrolments, promotion and graduation activities

About You:

You bring energy, warmth and a genuine love of Early Childhood Education and Care, with a natural ability to connect with learners and share your professional experience.

Additionally, you will have:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)
- Industry qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Recent or current experience working in an early childhood setting
- Confidence teaching diverse cohorts across varied learning needs

Salary Range:

Casual Teacher L1 | $91.42 (teaching) and $62.14 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification

Casual Teacher L2 | $95.01 (teaching) and $64.58 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification

Casual Teacher L3 | $98.77 (teaching) and $67.10 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification

Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
