North Tasmania has an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer to step into a MRI Lead role within one of our busy clinics, primarily St Vincents. This is a Full-Time position playing a key role in supporting clinical leadership, maintaining imaging excellence, and ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-focused MRI services. Part-time will be considered on application.

This will be a Monday - Friday with regular business hours between 8am and 6pm, working a 38hr week, with participation on the on-call roster.

Working closely with Radiologists, the Area Chief Radiographer and site leadership, you will lead by example while continuing to perform hands-on MRI scanning across a diverse and compelling case mix.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership for the MRI service
- Deliver high-quality MRI imaging in line with I-MED protocols and standards
- Support, mentor, and develop MRI radiography staff
- Promote a strong safety culture including radiation dose optimisation
- Assist with MRI protocol review and optimisation with Radiologists
- Support workflow efficiency and positive patient experiences
- Participate in quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to on-call, after-hours, and weekend rosters as required

About You

- AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
- Strong MRI experience with the ability to work independently
- Previous senior, leadership, or modality lead experience (desirable)
