About the role:

Eastern OOSH is seeking a proactive and organised First Aid Officer & Educator to join our team in Randwick. This unique role combines hands-on support with children in our Out of School Hours Care program, alongside overseeing first aid, medication administration and health documentation across the service.

What you'll be doing:

- Respond to incidents, injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies

- Administering first aid to students and staff as required, following all relevant health and safety protocols

- Administer medication and maintain accurate medication records

- Maintaining accurate records of all first aid incidents and treatments provided

- Overseeing the first aid supplies and ensuring the first aid kits are fully stocked at all times

- Ensure medical management plans and risk minimisation plans are current and implemented

- Liaise with families regarding health, medication, and wellbeing matters

- Assist with maintaining compliance and health documentation

- Supporting the broader OOSH team in the delivery of engaging and enriching care programs

- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements





- Work collaboratively as part of the wider OOSH team

What we are looking for:

- Currently hold the following first aid certificates: HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting.

- Previous experience in a similar first aid or educational role, ideally within an outside of school hours care or childcare setting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents and staff

- A keen interest in promoting health, safety and wellbeing for children and young people

- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills

- A current and Valid Working with Children Check for paid work

- Availability for afternoon shifts Monday–Friday (additional vacation care shifts available)
