About the role Biloela Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 66 690 789 667), trading as FoodWorks Biloela, is a long-established regional supermarket and in-store food production business serving Biloela and surrounding Central Queensland communities. We have been operating for over 30 years from 25 Dawson Highway, Biloela QLD 4715, with annual turnover of approximately $5.5 million and a workforce of 27 staff across grocery retail and in-store food production (deli, butchery, bakery, and prepared foods).

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead day-to-day operations across our dual-stream business. This is a senior, hands-on management role reporting directly to the company director. This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Biloela Ventures Pty Ltd by WIDEN Migration Experts (Dynamic Consultancy Pty Ltd, ABN 19 167 039 250), as authorised placing agent.

All applications and enquiries will be referred to the employer for consideration. Key responsibilities — Plan, organise, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket and in-store food production divisions

— Determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards in line with customer demand and operating budgets — Set sales targets, monitor performance against budget, and drive continuous improvement in turnover and margin — Recruit, train, supervise, roster, and performance-manage 27 staff across grocery and food production teams

n

— Ensure full compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and Fair Work obligations — Oversee suppliers, negotiate purchasing arrangements, and manage stock control and inventory systems

— Maintain store presentation, merchandising standards,



and pricing — Implement and review operating procedures and customer service standards — Manage cash handling, banking, and end-of-day reconciliation

— Resolve customer complaints and operational issues escalated by team leaders — Report on operational and financial performance to the director on a weekly and monthly basis Skills and experience required

n

— Minimum 4 years' experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, or equivalent senior retail management role — Demonstrated experience managing a workforce of 20+ employees — Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales, margin, and operational KPIs

— Direct experience overseeing food production or fresh-food operations (deli, butchery, bakery, or similar) is highly desirable — Strong understanding of Australian food safety standards, WHS, and Fair Work obligations

— Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills — Sound financial literacy: budgets, P&L;, stock turnover, gross margin — Hands-on, customer-focused, regional-Australia-comfortable mindset

Working hours and location Full time, ongoing (permanent) position. 38 hours per week.

Core roster Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating weekend coverage. On-site at 25 Dawson Highway, Biloela QLD 4715. Salary

n

$78,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation. Salary is fixed annual remuneration; no commissions or sales-linked incentives. The employer undertakes to review and adjust the salary in line with any future Department of Home Affairs Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT) indexation.
