We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong BI professional who enjoys transforming data into meaningful insights and building scalable reporting solutions that support smarter business decisions.

The role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane, operating on a hybrid mode (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home).

About the Role

As a BI Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and data models that enable operational, financial, and strategic reporting. You will work across multiple data platforms and systems, ensuring reporting accuracy, performance, and reliability.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with complex datasets across operational, automotive, or retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports




- Build scalable semantic data models using best-practice design principles
- Develop advanced DAX measures and Power Query transformations
- Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and validation
- Integrate data from multiple business systems (ERP, CRM, operational platforms)
- Optimise report performance and manage scheduled data refresh processes
- Implement row-level security and access controls
- Improve and automate reporting processes to reduce manual effort

About You

- Proven experience as a BI Developer or in a similar business intelligence role
- Strong SQL and relational database skills
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling
- Experience working with complex, multi-source data environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Experience within automotive, retail, or other operationally driven industries will be highly regarded.
