Now, we’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Services Finance team in Mulgrave, Victoria . In this critical role, you’ll help ensure the financial integrity, compliance, and reporting excellence of EPSA’s operations across Australia and PNG.
You’ll be central to month-end close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit activities, working closely with senior finance leaders and stakeholders across the business. This is a hands-on role where your technical accounting expertise and attention to detail will support sound decision-making and drive continuous improvement within our finance function.
Your work will help maintain a strong internal control environment, ensure reporting accuracy, and support EPSA’s growth across multiple jurisdictions.
What you’ll be doing (but not limited to!):
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end journals, reconciliations, and management reporting in line with reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies through to resolution.
- Prepare and lodge Australian and PNG GST & IAS returns on a monthly basis.
- End-to-end preparation and submission of Annual FBT returns for the group.
- End-to-end preparation of Income Tax returns for Australia and PNG .
- Prepare annual financial statement disclosures in line with statutory requirements.
- Support the coordination of the annual year-end audit , working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Prepare and analyse ATO Payment Times Reporting , ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Provide support across the business during month-end to ensure management reports are delivered on time.
- Respond to ad-hoc finance queries from internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency.

What makes you successful:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Business, or Finance .
- CA or CPA qualification (essential).
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Corporate Accounting environment.
- Strong experience in month-end close, statutory reporting, tax, and compliance activities.
- Experience working with large-scale ERP systems (Infor M3 / CloudSuite highly regarded).
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interrogate financial data and transactional processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see issues through to resolution.
- Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in a quick-paced environment.
