Reliable Asset Maintenance (RAM) is a growing commercial building maintenance and project delivery company operating across Western Australia.

We deliver structured maintenance and project works across three core pillars:

With 200–300 maintenance jobs per month alongside structured project delivery, RAM is entering its next phase of operational growth and requires solid leadership to support sustainable performance, accountability and profitability.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director, the Head of Operations will take full responsibility for day-to-day operational leadership across all pillars and the administrative team.

This role exists to:

- Ensure operational discipline across the business
- Protect margins and improve commercial performance
- Lead Pillar Managers and the administration team
- Monitor dashboards and KPIs
- Drive accountability and structure

You will be the central operational authority within RAM, allowing the Director to focus on strategic growth and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

- Lead and manage three Pillar Managers (Government Works, Minor Works, Commercial Projects)
- Run structured weekly operations meetings
- Oversee workflow, scheduling and job execution
- Act as escalation point for operational matters
- Drive accountability across all divisions
- Monitor WIP, quoted vs actual performance and gross margins
- Identify and reduce margin leakage
- Improve labour utilisation and operational efficiency
- Support forecasting and resource planning
- Strengthen profitability across all pillars

Administration & Systems

- Oversee Service Desk, scheduling and invoicing functions
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing
- Drive effective utilisation of job management systems (ServiceM8)
- Experience with job management systems or similar software platforms is required
- Implement operational improvements and system enhancements





Culture & Accountability

- Set performance expectations for leaders and teams
- Manage performance conversations where required
- Strengthen structure, ownership and operational discipline
- Support sustainable team culture aligned with business growth

About You

- Proven experience managing multiple divisions or departments
- A minimum of 2-3 years management experience is required
- Background in construction, commercial maintenance, trades or service-based industries
- At least 1-2 years of construction or maintenance industry experience is essential
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of margin management
- Experience working with operational dashboards and KPIs
- Demonstrated ability to lead supervisors and field-based teams
- Systems-driven mindset with process improvement experience
- Confident decision-making and robust leadership presence
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Australian work rights are essential for this position
- Experience working within government or regulated contract environments will be highly regarded.
