Workfast is currently looking for experienced HV A-Grade Electricians to join a major solar farm project around Albury, NSW .

The solar farm is 15 -20 mins north of Albury. This role is suitable for someone who lives in the town or is willing to relocate.

What You Need

- Current NSW A-Grade Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
- Electrical Trade Qualification
- Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel
- Construction White Card
- Current First Aid (CPR) & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue
- HV Switching competency
- Australian Work Rights
- Experience in renewable energy, plant or heavy electrical equipment
- Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practice
- Experience with data communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers)
- Strong computer literacy
- High commitment to WHS and safety as a core value

What You Will Be Doing

- Operating and maintaining Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment,



including transformers, switchgear, cables and substations
- Monitoring and maintaining solar farm and inverter systems
- Operating and maintaining backup power systems (generators and UPS)
- Responding to alarms and executing fault repairs
- Working alongside Engineering teams on SCADA monitoring
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site, including inductions and pre-starts
- Planning and scheduling annual maintenance through CMMS systems
- Completing WHS reporting and adhering to policies and Emergency Response Plans
- Completing accurate documentation of works performed
- Attending to preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and project works
- Working in conjunction with a 24/7 Control Room, Asset Managers, Site Technicians and Greenskeepers
- On-call work opportunity
