The Role

The Senior Claims Consultant will manage a portfolio of complex liability and legal files within the liability claims department, whilst achieving cost effective and quality claims handling through robust relationships with team members, internal and external service providers.

- End-to-end management of a portfolio of third party direct liability files with efficiencies in accuracy and productivity
- Clear decision making to achieve best cost and service outcomes
- Clear and advanced understanding of liability, negligence, and road rules
- Helping third parties into our network of repairers for the best claims outcome and experience
- Supporting third parties through their claims journey through clear communication and customer service
- Manage relationships, cost and timeliness with our network of repairers, suppliers, internal and external stakeholders
- Follow settlement methodology ensuring company procedures and relevant legislation are adhered to – Application of Insurance Contracts Act, General Insurance Code of Practice and other regulatory and compliance obligations.

What Experience You’ll Bring

- Motor Claims, or related fields will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with effective multi-tasking skills
- Capacity to impact results and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Highly professional and well-organised, providing proactive claims management that minimises claim cost outcomes for the business.
- Passion and drive to deliver the best claims journey and outcome for our third parties
- Confident decision making and adaptability
- Strong customer service skills for effective written and verbal communications
- High importance on accuracy and compliance with business process and compliance and regulatory obligations.
