About the Opportunity
The School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University is seeking a motivated academic for the position of Lecturer in Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality teaching and research in finance while helping shape the next generation of finance professionals.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, research-informed teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, contributing to unit coordination, curriculum design, and student learning outcomes. The candidate will be expected to undertake high-quality research supporting the Finance and Investment Research Cluster and the School’s teaching and research excellence.
About you
The successful candidate will possess:
- A PhD in Finance or a closely related discipline.
- A strong record of scholarly teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs, including unit coordination, curriculum development, and the use of innovative teaching methods.
- An emerging research profile, demonstrated through publications in leading finance journals (e.g., ABDC A*/A) and presentations at local, national, or international conferences.
- The ability to actively engage in research activities and contribute to the School’s research output.
- A commitment to supporting the School’s operations and governance, including participation in service roles, committees, and academic or administrative initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, students and industry partners.
