About the role
Tropical resort in Darwin CBD seeking a full-time Maintenance General Hand to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective maintenance services across our resort facilities to ensure a high standard of presentation and functionality is maintained at all times.
What you'll be doing
- Performing general maintenance and handyperson duties including repairs, painting, beautification works etc.
- Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the resort's buildings, grounds including extensive gardens, and equipment
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and completing tasks in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work completed
- Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Collaborating with other departments to identify and action continuous improvement opportunities
What we're looking for
- Experience in a similar maintenance or general handyperson role. Trade experience highly regarded.
- Excellent customer service and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and qualified manner
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and employ a high level of problem solving
- Ability to work a 4 days on, 4 days off* roster including weekends and public holidays
- A long term employee who wishes to stay in Darwin for 2+ years
