Underground Electrician (Kalgoorlie - Boulder)

Silverstone are seeking underground mining experienced Electrician's to cater to several of our gold mining clients' requirements in the thriving WA mining and resources sector. We have roles with both owner operators and contractors.

Your role will involve:

- Repairs, maintenance, and installation of motors, VSDs, transformers, starter panels, RMUs, lighting, substations, dewatering systems, ventilation fans, and instrument systems across fixed plant and underground assets.
- Maintain and update electrical schematics, logs and maintenance records
- Using testing equipment to locate faults, analyse failures, and implement preventative measures.
- Ensuring reliable and sustainable operation of the underground fixed plant and mine infrastructure.
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HV/LV underground electrical systems, switchboards, and 1000V equipment.
- Fault finding, testing, and servicing of underground communications, telemetry, PLCs, smart relays, and tele-remote (RCT) systems.
- High voltage switching, statutory testing (RCDs/E/L relays), SAP work management, and compliance with all safety standards.

What we’re looking for:

- WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence




- Underground mining electrical experience
- High Voltage Switching Ticket (desirable)
- Instrumentation certificate (desirable)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Sound knowledge of Australian electrical and mining safety regulations
- Robust fault finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Strong safety focus and problem-solving skills
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- National Police Clearance within 12 months

These are technically diverse and hands-on roles that will keep you challenged.
We have multiple clients so we can offer contract roles, temp to perm roles or permanent roles, whatever is your preference.
