We are a young hire company that prides itself on offering exceptional customer service and high quality equipment to construction and maintenance industries. Due to our growth and expansion, an opportunity has become available for the role of Hire coordinator at our premises at Rocklea/Acacia Ridge area. This pivotal position is a hands-on, customer service focussed role designed to work alongside our vibrant team of young professionals.
The role is responsible for creating hire agreements, invoicing, arranging delivery and collection of equipment, telephone sales, and serving customers at the branch.
Ideally this role would suit someone with a good aptitude for using computers/different softwares etc who is looking to kick start their career with an office based role that will continue to evolve.
Specific tasks include:
- Entering hire agreements and customer details into the system
- Responding to high volumes of customer inquiries - both phone and email
- Coordinate and monitor incoming and outgoing equipment to ensure our high standards of quality and presentation, as well as customer requirements are all exceeded
- Office Support to our sales team
- Providing excellent customer service
- Closing out hire contracts on return of equipment and invoicing customers
- Managing point-of-sale payments and entering into hire control software
- Raising purchase orders with transport providers for delivery and collection of earthmoving and access equipment
- Build trust and robust relationships with customers through friendly communication, advice and exceptional service
- Providing a Duty of Care to the Workplace Health & Safety to yourself, your co-workers and visitors coming onto the premises
To be successful in this role, you will be a team player, competent using a computer and mobile devices, passionate about customer service, sales, and providing solutions to our customers.
Previous experience in equipment hire or construction industry is preferred but not essential.

- General understanding of construction equipment and machines

- Friendly and able to develop personal relationships
- Passion for providing the highest level of customer service
- General problem solving skills, particularly with equipment functionality
- Excellent Organisational / Time Management Skills
- Experience working in a fast paced, busy work environment
- Ability to work autonomously to deadlines
- High attention to detail
