Your role You’ll be part of a small team within a specialist unit undertaking a variety of tasks that include packing rigging, loading and unloading stores and equipment for all modes or air movement, including airdrop, airland and helicopter external air transport as well as manually dispatching cargo from aircraft while in flight.

Your Military duties include, but aren’t limited to: employing Aerial Delivery Equipment (ADE) operating specialist vehicles and material handling equipment (MHE) in and around military aircraft preparing and rigging items for Air Cargo Delivery (ACD) loading and unloading military aircraft manual dispatch of small cargo loads from military aircraft in flight operating and clearing cargo drop zones (DZ) conducting tasks at a helicopter Landing Point (LP)/Landing Site (LS) in preparation for helicopter operations interpreting and complying with the requirements of air logistic publications developing and certifying aerial delivery plans for moving people and assets You will enjoy benefits including, but not limited to: Free medical and dental, including access to allied health, rehabilitation, and mental health specialists Competitive salary package with incremental salary increases as you gain experience Generous Superannuation of 16.4% - a huge 4.4% over the Australian standard A subsidised home loan or rent allowance Allowances and bonuses which recognise specialist skills and employment types The ability to package your salary Job security Career progression and development Good work/life balance Travel opportunities Excellent social and fitness facilities Paid training Location: Following your initial military training,



you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. Air Dispatchers are employed across many Army locations primarily ACT, NSW, SA and WA.

Salary: Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $60,517 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training. On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you’ll enjoy a package starting from $82,322 per annum.

Eligibility: For this role, you must: Be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics If you are not an Australian Citizen, please visit the ADF Careers Eligibility Page to confirm you meet the requirements for a career in the ADF Be reasonably fit and healthy. Keeping fit is a big part of joining the ADF.
