This state-of-the-art hospital in northern Sydney provides 488 beds for both public and private patients. As a premier Level 5 teaching facility, it features a 50-bed Emergency Department, advanced cardiac catheter labs, and a world-class education center. The successful candidate will be integrated into the Acute Medical Unit and Medical Assessment Unit (MAU), a fast-paced 36-bed environment specializing in cardiac telemetry and acute medical care. Working within this energetic department, the clinician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care utilizing advanced electronic medical records and medication management systems.

Locum Details and Compensation

This role offers a competitive locum rate up to $54.89 per hour, with the final rate determined by the individual’s years of relevant experience as a Year 4 or 5 Registered Nurse. The placement is active now, with the current recruitment phase closing on March 23, 2026. Of significant note for prospective applicants is the facility's upcoming transition into the NSW Health public network in late April 2026. Requirements and Role Expectations

- Professional Registration: Must be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and hold a Bachelor of Science (Nursing)



or equivalent.

- Clinical Experience: A minimum of one to two years in an acute hospital setting is essential, ideally with exposure to fast-paced medical assessment environments.

- Technical Proficiency: Experience with or a willingness to utilize EMR and MEDCHART systems in a high-functioning clinical setting.

- Soft Skills: Highly developed interpersonal skills, a proactive motivation, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
