We are expanding our team and we’re on the hunt for an experienced Business Manager – Merchandise Planning to lead our merchandise inventory and planning team. You’ll play a pivotal role in steering the supply chain plan — from forecasting and replenishment through to network capacity and labour production — ensuring the right products are in the right place, at the right time.

Your Impact

In This Key Leadership Role, You’ll

Develop and deliver merchandise planning strategies aligned with Supercheap Auto’s business goals. Lead your team to optimise inventory, sales, gross margin and stock turn. Oversee financial and operational planning for the BU, including Open to Buy (OTB), seasonal targets, and replenishment processes. Partner with key stakeholders — from Merchandising and Supply Chain to Marketing and eCommerce — to ensure seamless planning and communication across the business. Drive continuous improvement, embedding best practice planning tools and data-driven decision-making. Build, inspire and develop a high-performing merchandise planning team.

About You

You’re an energetic and commercially astute retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical and cooperative environment. You’ll bring:

2+ years’ experience leading a retail merchandise planning team.



Extensive knowledge of merchandise planning processes, systems and strategy. Strong financial acumen and a proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar stock portfolios. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills — you know how to turn insights into action. A passion for developing people, building capability and driving engagement across your team.
