We’re seeking an experienced and forward-thinking rail planning professional to lead high impact projects that will guide how Queensland’s rail system evolves over the next decade. As Manager (Rail Planning), you will drive complex planning initiatives that support sustainable population growth, improve passenger outcomes and strengthen the resilience of our state’s transport network.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of strategic rail plans, deliver critical planning projects and provide expert advice that directly influences how safe, reliable and customer focused rail services are delivered across Queensland. We're looking for a strategic leader with a strong background in transport or rail planning who thrives in complex, multi stakeholder environments.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across major rail planning programs and projects, particularly in South East Queensland and priority regional corridors.
You Will
Lead and manage complex rail planning studies and strategies, from early strategic planning through to investment planning and business cases. Drive the delivery of state wide rail planning projects that inform long term network development and investment priorities. Provide high level strategic and technical advice to senior executives, including the Executive Director, General Manager, Deputy Director General, Director General and Minister. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Queensland Rail, local government, other Queensland Government agencies and internal TMR divisions. Lead, mentor and develop a team of transport planning professionals, fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment.
