Pardoo Station is located close to the famous eighty-mile beach in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The station is home to around 23 people who work and live on the station all year round.
Cooking for around 23 employees daily, and on occasions additional visitors and contractors, you will be responsible for providing three wholesome homecooked meals a day. Preparing and planning menus with the kitchen is your domain. The work involves split shifts to coincide with the station’s workers, meaning you get to explore and take in your surroundings during your own time in between meals or just relax.
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Preparing 3 meals a day, including lunch. For lunch - staff get their own lunch from the dining area fridge, i.e. take readymade sandwiches, wraps or leftover meals. They may also make their own wrap sandwich etc.
- Catering to a range of dietary requirements, including allergies or intolerances as required.
- Ordering stores.
- Keeping the kitchen and dining area organised, clean, and tidy.
You’ll be someone who:
- Can plan and organise.
- Able to work safely both independently as well as part of a team.
- Can menu plan and provide wholesome food.
- Can communicate effectively.
- Is committed to a positive health and safety culture.
- Ability to work and live in a remote location.
- Flexible with hours
- Fluent English.
