Your Opportunity
As the Manager, Data and Performance you will::
- Be responsible for leading and managing the business support services for TELLS, including, data, quality assurance and contract support to ensure organisational compliance with Commonwealth funded contracts.
This position reports to the Executive Director, TELLS.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at South Brisbane, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Commerciality, Teamwork, Innovation and Accountability with particular emphasis on role modelling leadership behaviours.
- Lead and manage the Business Services team, encouraging ongoing professional development opportunities, cognisant of workforce development principles.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages coaching and mentoring of others, identify and delegate activities and priorities, set team targets and performance measures and track and monitor performance to ensure priorities are met.
- Manage contractual compliance to ensure key performance indicators,
relevant to the Business Team, are attained in accordance with Commonwealth and State requirements.
- Provide high level advice and direction to the Executive Director regarding the programs business performance.
- Monitor the programs business performance data and provide reports, advice and direction to the Executive Director relating to contractual requirements to ensure compliance with program Deeds and Service Provider Instructions.
- Provide advice and leadership in the development of continuous business improvements, including creating and implementing strategies where necessary to ensure the resolution of occurring problems and issues are attained.
- Manage the provision of, data, contract management, quality assurance, contract support services and administration for TELLS and stakeholders.
- Represent the TELLS portfolio at, stakeholder meetings and forums where necessary.
- Build robust, constructive and collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including influencing other TAFE Queensland regions regarding delivery and compliance of educational programs.
- Prepare high level reports, briefing papers and recommendations for internal audiences and Commonwealth government departments.
- Develop procedures and work instructions to guide AMEP and SEE delivery that reflect TAFE Queensland and contract requirements.
- Support contemporary human resource management practices and the development of workforce capability in a client and commercially focused culture.
- Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Showing Initiative, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer and Taking Responsibility.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership in managing state wide contractual management of educational programs.
- High level leadership, planning and team management skills and the ability to set a clear vision and sense of direction in times of change and uncertainty; and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of outstanding client service.
- Proven experience in building and sustaining productive internal and external stakeholder relationships, and working collaboratively to foster a positive and cohesive work environment.
- High level communication, negotiation, influencing and listening skills in a culturally, linguistic and socially economic environment.
- Proven experience in developing high level reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Possession of an appropriate qualification in project management.
- Knowledge of and experience using data management systems.
