About the Role:

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Outreach Worker (ATSIOW) will work closely with other Closing the Gap (CTG) Integrated Team Care (ITC)



team members to better connect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to health services that will improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and reduce the barriers to access appropriate primary health care services.

Experience Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community groups and individuals.
- Relevant training and experience in a relevant health or community services fields.

Qualification and Other Requirements:

- Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases
- Certificate level qualification in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander primary health care (or willingness to undertake such training funded through the Closing the Gap package)
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
- Current Drivers Licence
