About the role

APKO Management Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in our Brisbane CBD office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mandarin-speaking professional to contribute your expertise and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our growing organization.

This role is suited to a capable accounting professional who is confident managing multiple entities and supporting a dynamic development environment.

This position is open to Australian Permanent Residents and Citizens only.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage daily bookkeeping functions, including accounts receivable.

2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

3. Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy

4. Liaise with external accountants, consultants and internal stakeholders, project teams to address queries and provide financial information

5. Assist with the month-end and year-end reporting and preparation of financial statements

6. Maintain accurate records across multiple development entities

7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business

2. Strong proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal

3.



Conversational level Mandarin is required for effective communication with clients and stakeholders

4. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks)

5. MYOB experience is essential for managing our financial systems and processes

6. Ability to work independently, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

7. Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance

8. Excellent communication and customer service skills

9. Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting) are highly desirable
