This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026

The Role

Join our team as a Gardener - Handyperson and contribute to fostering a positive learning environment As a key member, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for both students and staff.

From overseeing the turf areas, garden beds, and shrubs to managing hard landscaping features like courts and paving, you'll play a vital role in creating an inviting and inspiring outdoor space.

Your commitment to maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in a good condition will be integral to promoting a positive culture within the school.

Collaborate with the Manager of Corporate Services to develop safe work procedures, undertake risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation.

Eligibility

To work with us, you will need to:
obtain a valid Working With Children Check.

consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

Demonstrated knowledge of gardening methods and procedures, including the secure use and storage of gardening equipment, materials and chemicals.
