Pharmacy Technician Team Leader (Bangheet)

The Pharmacy Technician Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely storage, distribution, and dispensing of medicines to support safe, personal, effective and connected patient care.

This includes maintaining medication imprest supplies, ensuring patient bedside drawers contain required medicines, and performing stock management, aseptic compounding, pharmaceutical purchasing and record management.

Working under the supervision of pharmacists, the role also assists with drug preparation and dispensing, stock control, replenishment, tablet packing, manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, and clerical duties.

A robust knowledge of pharmaceutical products and the Pharmaceutical Perks Scheme (PBS) is preferred.

In addition to the responsibilities of a Grade 2 Pharmacy Technician,



the Team Leader oversees technicians across Rosebud, The Mornington Centre (TMC) and Golf Links Road (GLR), providing mentoring, allocating daily tasks, orientating staff, ensuring stock procedures are followed, supporting administrative requirements such as PBS documentation, and promoting continuous improvement.

The role also prepares monthly reports, provides leave coverage for the Senior Pharmacy Technician, and supports the development and implementation of expanded scope opportunities in consultation with senior pharmacy leaders.
