Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Casual Laboratory Assistant to join our Shepparton environmental lab. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting field sampling activities, ensuring accurate sample receipt and testing, and helping deliver timely, high-quality results in line with SGS’s EHS service and quality standards.

What you will do:

- Conduct field sampling to meet client requirements.
- Perform analyses according to SGS methods and procedures.
- Support the Sample Reception & Chemistry team.
- Carry out QC checks, instrument calibrations, and take appropriate action.
- Record all data in a clear and accurate manner.
- Represent SGS in office and during client visits.
- Provide sample pick-up and drop-off services for key clients.
- Prepare sample bottles and assist with sample receipt at the Shepparton site.
- Ensure analysis and data are completed by due dates, working collaboratively with the Shepparton team.
- Perform risk assessments and internal audits as required.
