About The Role
An chance exists for an experienced Project Support Officer (Level 2) to join the JP9347-1 Joint Data Networks (JDN) sub-program within Defence.
The role supports the Project Manager in delivering approved project scope within contracted cost and schedule. You will work as part of a multi-disciplined team and contribute across project governance, reporting, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and contract support functions.
This position sits within a structured CASG acquisition environment and requires familiarity with Defence project delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of project delivery to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review and maintain the integrated master schedule in line with agreed reporting cycles and project controls guidance.
- Assist with risk and opportunity coordination, including planning and prioritisation activities.
- Contribute to monthly status reporting, including tracking scope, schedule, cost, risk, and issues.
- Provide coordination and administrative support across project activities and governance functions.
- Review technical documentation including:
- Statements of Work (SOW)
- Contract Change Proposals (CCPs)
- Other scoping and contract documentation
- Maintain awareness of project budget and planned expenditure.
- Support delivery of major contract milestones to enable capability outcomes.
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders to ensure effective project coordination and situational awareness.
- Assist the Project Manager in removing blockers and accelerating delivery activities.
Essential Requirements
- Active NV1 Security Clearance.
- Experience supporting project delivery within Defence or Federal Government.
- Understanding of project governance frameworks, reporting cycles, and controls.
- Experience maintaining integrated schedules (MS Project or similar).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
Highly Desirable
- CASG / SPO experience.
- Knowledge of Defence acquisition environments.
- General contract management knowledge.
- Experience working with ASDEFCON contracts.
- Exposure to risk registers, change management, and milestone tracking.
